Modern Log Cabin with Fireplace and Hot tub on River! Fishing Access On Site!

The cabin is not as described in the ad. There is no leather furniture, only a small couch and broken rocking chair. There’s not really much of a Mountain View and there’s plenty of noise from the state route below. Don’t believe the “well-appointed” kitchen. Only had 3 plates, saucers and bowls. We had a plastic bag of popcorn on the kitchen table overnight and in the morning found it had a hole chewed in it with popcorn dust and mouse droppings next to it. We also found mouse droppings in a carryon bag we brought. There was also mouse droppings on top of the refrigerator. When we arrived we found the trash can in the kitchen hadn’t been emptied. I have tried to contact the host several times via text, phone call and the VRBO app, without any reply.

It was peaceful and quiet. Beautiful scenery. It was the relaxing weekend that we needed.

We loved this sweet little cabin! Unexpectedly, we arrived on a day when the temperature was plummeting and snow was expected. We arrived early enough that getting to the cabin wasn't difficult with a 2 wheel drive pickup, but were a bit worried about getting out. We enjoyed a quiet night by the fire watching TV, reading books, and watching the weather outside. It snowed overnight, about 2 inches, but we were pleasantly surprised that a landscape company was working to make the road down safer - and it was no problem! I just wish we had more time and the weather was better in the area so we could visit more of Boone and Blowing Rock. Nice getaway!

Great place to relax Positive: Perfect location, close to many activities, and plenty of space for two people. Negative: Some cobwebs and small yard space

Location was very convenient for us. Cabin is located between Blowing Rock and Boone. Luckily we got one of the cabins near river. Otherwise the other cabins are located up a steep gravel hill. The cabin needed an extra cleaning. Living room smelled of urine. Hot tub was dirty. But cabin is nice but it just needs a good cleaning.
